Final Open Access Scientific Publications

The CARE4CARE project has generated a substantial body of peer-reviewed scientific output, reflecting its comparative and multidisciplinary research on working conditions, discrimination, and regulation in the European care sector.

In line with Horizon Europe’s Open Access requirements and with our commitment to knowledge sharing, all final scientific publications produced within the framework of CARE4CARE are made freely accessible to researchers, policymakers, social partners, and practitioners.

The publications presented on this page include:

  • Peer-reviewed journal articles in leading labour law and industrial relations journals;

  • Comparative and national legal analyses on care work and discrimination;

  • Contributions addressing working time, migration, collective bargaining, gender equality, and social protection in the care sector;

  • Two open access edited volumes published by Firenze University Press.

Together, these publications provide an in-depth legal and socio-institutional mapping of care work across six EU Member States (France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain and Sweden), while advancing concrete policy proposals at both national and EU level.

By ensuring full Open Access availability, CARE4CARE aims to contribute to ongoing European debates on the European Care Strategy, decent work, gender equality, and social rights — and to support evidence-based policymaking for those who care.
